At the altar of leftism - The blood of the unborn

LifeNews - Comedian Sandra Bernhard isn't laughing about a woman's shelter in Boston canceling her speaking engagement over an attack she made on Sarah Palin. Bernhard made a crude remark about Palin becoming a victim of rape but she insists her comments were only about abortion and taken out of context. Bernhard's initial comments came in a one-woman stand up show Bernhard did last month in Washington, D.C. During the event, Bernhard said Palin would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" and the comments came in a diatribe against Palin's pro-life views. The Boston-based Rosie's Place, a domestic violence shelter for women, had planned to feature the comedian at an October 16 fundraising event but canceled.
Yeah sure, all out of context ey. If a Conservative has uttered the phrase "gang-raped by my big black brothers", do you think the left would be so silent, they'd be screaming about racism and stereotyping and anything else they could think of at the time, to hell with context.

I have to ask, does she secretly believe that black men have a propensity to gang-rape? Why did she say black brothers and not white brothers or latino brothers the? Closet racism and/or stereo-typing, or was that just a bit of race baiting. Either way, hardly becoming of a leftist, I think. While I'm the subject of abortion.
LifeNews - The American Nurses Association is coming under fire form a leading pro-life nurse for creating a web site supporting Barack Obama. The national nursing group is accused of selling out the interests of women and unborn children by supporting a thoroughly pro-abortion candidate. In an email to its membership yesterday, the group said it is "excited to announce the launch of our web site 'Nurses for Obama.'"

"This web site is dedicated to providing nurses with the tools necessary to educate others about ANA’s endorsement and the importance of electing the Obama-Biden ticket, as well as updating nurses on the latest Obama-Biden campaign news," the group says. As a member of the national nursing group, Mary-Kate Heffern tells LifeNews.com she's dismayed it has endorsed Obama.

"I feel disenfranchised by ANA after having been a member for more than three decades," Heffern said. Heffern's concerns are more than political, as she is a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Prolife Nurses. She can't believe the ANA is willing to support a candidate who supports abortion throughout pregnancy for any reason.
I don't know about you folks, but I'd be worried about this lot caring for me or any children. Abortion anywhere, any time, any reason and knowing their candidate is perfectly happy to let a baby that survived abortion to just die off in the trash. Good grief! Don't people in the medical profession make some sort of pledge to try and save any and all life. Either that pledge is worthless or some life is just less equal.

You wouldn't want to end up on life-support and unable to offer some sort of case to these people to try and justify your existence would you. Would you bet your life that these types would baulk at transitioning you from human-being to worthless, old parasite with nothing left to give, I know I won't.

On the plus side, the article goes on to state that membership of this ANA organization continues to decline. Phew! Ain't that a relief.
