More Cognitive Dissonance From SMH

By AR - SMH has done it again, running two jarring headlines adjacent to each other on the front page of their online edition. The first is "Babies' Skulls Smashed" and tells the hideous story of two incidents where a baby's skull was fractured by (presumably) its parents.

The second headline is "$500,000! That's What Two Kids Cost". AMP Financial Services and the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling have worked out a dollar value for how much better off you'd be without your children. Nice of them, eh?

Their online editor must be asleep. How else could you run both these stories side by side?
