Glenn Beck at CPAC

Glenn Beck, a leading political talk show personality in the US who has been hammering the Obama administration and the "progressive" Democrats (and Republicans as well), gave the keynote address at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference). He hits the progressive movement and denounces the insane spending that is threatening to destroy the US. It's worth the watch.

  1. Has he dropped the 3rd party nonsense?

Beck is a showman first and foremost. Nothing wrong with that but in its place - which I wouldn't have thought was the keynote speaking slot for CPAC.

  2. A lots of people are paying out on Beck for dabling with a 3rd party concept. I dont understand why ? Beck has every right to say what he wants, and people can make up their own mind.

I dont like the idea of a thid party in the US because Obama is *such* a danger, but here in Australia, I would LOVE to see the Liberals split. They are a joke, and I would rather vote for a party that gets 20% of the vote and stands for what I believe, rather than vote a party that is 99% the same as Labour.

  3. Good post Eugene, thanks for posting it. Beck is certainly causing much consternation over on the left, he's definitely a good speaker from what i've seen so far. It'll take a while to watch it all.

  4. Beck keeps talking about a third party because he thinks there are too many progressives in the GOP.

  5. Going third party is a great way to cement the Democrats in power for ever. It's unserious moral preening.

Why do people who say things like "he has every right to say what he wants" seem to be implying that somehow that means he should not be criticized for saying it? Is this modern education in action?

Beck is for Beck. "Whatever helps the ratings" is his fundamental principle. Whoever at CPAC thought it was a good idea to make him keynote speaker should be shown the door.

  7. What ever you think of Beck's motives, he's dead on about the progressive and the threat they pose. Both past and present.
