Greenie nonsense in Cambridge Massachusetts

Fox News - Going green will not be optional in Cambridge, Mass., if the Cambridge Climate Congress has its way. It will be mandatory. There will be congestion pricing to reduce car travel. Curbside parking will be eliminated. There will be a carbon tax "of some kind," not to mention taxes on plastic and paper bags. And the Massachusetts city, home of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will advocate vegetarianism and veganism, complete with "Meatless or Vegan Mondays." Those are just some of the proposals put forth by the Congress, which was created in May 2009 to respond to the "climate emergency" plaguing Cambridge. Once the Congress settles on its recommendations, they will submitted to the City Council.
Let's just assume that there really is a "climate emergency" in Cambridge Massachusetts, that the temperature is rocketing or spiraling downward or whatever and it's all because of the bastard residents of Cambridge Massachusetts. And further more, let's assume the people of Cambridge Massachusetts adopt all these various taxes, rules, the vegan monday and all that. So where exactly will all this get them, after all no point doing a lot of particular things for no purpose, right?
It should also be understood that Cambridge cannot solve climate change on its own and that none of these actions alone or in the aggregate will solve climate change. However, the aim is to make Cambridge a leader on Climate Change policy by walking the walk.
So in other words, the new taxes, the congestion tax, car pooling, vegan mondays and all that are going to do shit for the so-called "climate emergency" in Cambridge Massachusetts. Oh and if you feel like it, read the full thing yourself and see for yourself that while they prattle on that the whole world ought to follow their exalted leadership, they offer no guarantees that these measures will save the world from the "climate emergency".

So to sum up, the global warmists want the world to do a whole lot of expensive stuff for nothing in return, you see we humans are the cause for all this, but for some strange reason, whatever we do won't make any difference, never the less we must do it anyway, yes really.
