Times of India - Somalia’s hardline Islamist group al Shabaab has publicly whipped women for wearing bras they say violate Islam by constituting a deception, north Mogadishu residents said on Friday. The insurgent group, which seeks to impose a strict form of sharia Islamic law, amputated a foot and a hand each from two young men accused of robbery. They have also banned movies, musical ringtones, dancing at wedding ceremonies and playing or watching soccer.

Dawn - Balochistan Education Minister Shafique Ahmed Khan has been shot dead after a firing incident in Quetta. According to police, gumen opened indiscriminate fire on the education minister in front of his house on Toghi road killing him on the spot.

Dawn - Two powerful suicide car bombs blew up outside the Justice Ministry and city government offices in downtown Baghdad on Sunday, killing at least 147 people in the worst attack in more than two years.

Khaleej Times - Israeli police firing stun grenades faced off Sunday against masked Palestinian protesters hurling stones and plastic chairs outside the Holy Land’s most volatile shrine, where past violence has escalated into prolonged conflict.

UPI - Islamic officials in a Somali town have executed two young men for allegedly spying for the government, local officials say. The Shabelle Media Network reported Sunday that residents of Merka in Somalia's Lower Shabelle region gathered in a football stadium to witness the executions, which reportedly was carried out by the town's Islamic forces.

Arutz Sheva - According to initial reports, a female terrorist stabbed a security person in the stomach Sunday afternoon at the Kalandia checkpoint in northern Jerusalem. He was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

Compass Direct - Two Christians in Gojra, Pakistan who allegedly fired warning shots as an Islamist mob approached that burned seven Christians to death on Aug. 1 told Compass they were tortured after police arrested them.

Compass Direct - Another Christian imprisoned for his faith in Eritrea has died from authorities denying him medical treatment, according to a Christian support organization. Sources told Netherlands-based Open Doors that Yemane Kahasay Andom, 43, died Thursday (July 23) at Mitire Military Confinement Center. A member of the Kale-Hiwot church in Mendefera, Andom was said to be secretly buried in the camp.

AINA - A Saudi lawyer says a female journalist has been sentenced to 60 lashes for her involvement in a TV show in which a Saudi man publicly talked about sex. Rozanna al-Yami is believed to be the first Saudi woman journalist to be given such a punishment.

AINA - Muslims students stoned Coptic Christian churches and homes in a southern Egyptian village on Saturday after four Muslims suspected of killing a Copt were kept in custody, police said. The unrest began when the prosecutor extended the detention of the Muslims in the village of Dairut who are suspected of killing an elderly Copt in his home last week, a police official said.

Point the next leftist buffoon insisting that Islam is a religion of peace and all cultures are equal to these examples. Most likely it'll bounce right off their thick skull, but you never know, it might give them reason to stop and think.
