The horror of prayer, creative excuses and Hijab or not!

Remember these professional grievance mongers from 2007, they were trying to save their poor children from the horror of prayer. It's like children who pray whilst growing up turn out screwing up everything for the rest of their lives. They are emotional wrecks, unable to feed, cloth and bathe themselves let alone hold a steady job, go figure. I wonder if they'd have kicked up as much of a stink if their children were "strongly encouraged" to attend homosexual tolerance classes or sex education or something. Well they lost that half-baked case, but are now appealing for the sake of their children and also, in my opinion, in a desperate bid to save other children from the horror of public whipping to prayer. Someone has to save the children from the Christians riding around beating small children with planks to the nearest church to pray I suppose.

Houston Chronicle - A legal appeal over a 2003 Texas law mandating a moment of silence for schoolchildren is heating up. [snip] A North Texas couple is appealing the January ruling from a federal district court that upheld the law. U.S. District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn said the law has a secular purpose of encouraging thoughtful contemplation and does not advance or inhibit religion. [snip] The brief says "the purposes of these exercises is plain — to foster patriotism and provide an opportunity for students to engage in thoughtful contemplation." But the lawyer for the suing couple said the patriotism argument is "a cover for reinstituting organized prayer in schools." [snip] "Legislators repeatedly emphasized that students could stare at their shoes, think about upcoming exams, think about their pets, engage in other nonverbal activities during the moment of silence, as well as pray, if they wished," Lynn said.

So their kids can stand there and do nothing, they don't have to pray, but that's not good enough for the grievance mongers, they must be exempt from it. Organized prayer, outrageous! What a world we live in eh, when people are hacking each other's heads off, blowing women and children to pieces, dying of drug overdoses, can't remember who they slept with last night or who the father of their child is or if they have children out there for that matter. In such a world were people die alone and the world doesn't even notice, when we need the Christian influence more than ever to guide us, we have people stopping their children from even entertaining such an idea, of growing up to be kind, loving people who also love their country.

Personally I don't think it's just the prayer bit that grates with these progressive types, the encouragement of patriotism probably grates with them just as much and not just any patriotism, patriotism towards America to be specific. I often say, no one does patriotism like Americans, well it would seem no one does loathing quite like the progressives. As for this sack of evil filth, full marks for coming up with a creative excuse but sorry fatboy.

FOX News - A death row inmate scheduled for execution in October says he's so fat that Ohio executioners would have trouble finding his veins and that his weight could diminish the effectiveness of one of the lethal injection drugs. Lawyers for Richard Cooey argue in a federal lawsuit that Cooey had poor veins when he faced execution five years ago and that the problem has been worsened by weight gain. Cooey, 41, was sentenced to die for raping and murdering two female University of Akron students in 1986.

Alright I'm partial to that sort of thing, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't lose sleep if they just dragged him out the back and put two in the head, but we can't do that, so the solution is simple, stop feeding fatboy and once you can easily find veins in fatboy get the needle, simple. No more excuses fatboy, you should have thought of this when you were busy raping and murdering back in 86. Speaking of excuses, I sure hope the IDF have a really good one for not getting their boy back, especially if they know where he is.

JPost - As talks for the release of Gilad Schalit remain in a deadlock, IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi caused a public stir on Monday when he seemed to indicate that Israel knew exactly where the kidnapped soldier is being held as well as the identity of those who are holding him. Speaking to new Armored Corps recruits at the Tel Hashomer base, Ashkenazi said, "We know that Gilad Schalit is alive, where he is being held and by whom, and I hope we can promptly bring the episode to an end."

Perhaps they're waiting for Ole Omelet [hat tip Angel] to retire into the desert so they don't have to worry about him selling them out. Whilst I'm on the subject of Jihadis and Muslims, I sometimes take the time to read a bit of Islam Online. After all we Conservatives are always banging on about the threat of radical Islam so I think we should gain some understanding of the "faith". Now they don't explicitly say you should beat your woman or any woman until she wears the Hijab, they sort of dance around it, you could even interpret it as saying you shouldn't beat but they don't say so explicitly. Based on what's in the Koran and in real life you get the impression the message is, it might be best for your health if you do wear it. It's a bit like lefties interpretation of free speech, you have free speech, but it's best if you only say what they approve of.
