CSIRO Lags Hanson By 8 Months

By AR - Pauline Hanson 8 months ago:
"It's been recorded in Victoria that there is a 25 per cent increase in HIV. There is TB, and a case of leprosy which has been recorded in South Australia...
...
"If we want to do things for the Sudanese people, then let us send medical supplies, food, whatever they need over there - but let them stay in their own country," she said.
The CSIRO today:
The researchers also said that since 2000, nearly one in five people diagnosed with the virus believed they contracted HIV during heterosexual sex.

Of those, one-third were born in “a high-prevalence country” - where more than 1 per cent of the population had the virus. Another 19 per cent said that their sexual partner was from a high-prevalence country.
The main difference is that the CSIRO is reporting what we already know but Hanson at least had a partial solution. The CSIRO seems to miss the point of its own research concluding:
“Recent increases in annual numbers of HIV diagnoses in Australia underline the continuing need for HIV-prevention programs, particularly among men having male to male sex.”
