Go forth and multiply

The United States' population will hit 300 million on Tuesday morning, just 39 years after it reached 200 million, the US Census Bureau estimates.

A "population clock" will record the milestone at 0746 (1246 GMT) - a timing based on calculations that factor birth and death rates and migration. Environmental groups have also cautioned on America's growing consumer consumption, and what they say are damaging "patterns" of population expansion.

I wonder how many of them live in the ‘blue’ (liberal) states; I wonder how many of them believe in abortion on demand, fewer humans to save the planet and other such leftist causes.

Update

Hey hey, more good news, leftists caught coddling terrorist scum now made to may the price. One can argue the price is too low, maybe the prosecution can appeal for a tougher sentence as no doubt the leftists will be launching, bake sales, protests, paper and online petitions, bumper stickers, books, movies, ribbons and numerous appeals to ensure one of their treacherous ilk spends as little time behind bars as possible.

A US civil rights lawyer convicted of aiding terrorism by passing messages from a jailed client to his followers has been imprisoned for 28 months. Lynne Stewart, 67, was found guilty in February 2005 of helping Islamic cleric Omar Abdel Rahman contact radical disciples in Egypt.

Abdel Rahman was jailed for life in 1995 for planning attacks in New York. Prosecutors had recommended Ms Stewart, who told the judge she was not a traitor, be given a 30-year sentence.

US postal worker Ahmed Sattar was given 24 years in prison for conspiracy to murder, while Arabic translator Mohammed Yousry received a 20-month jail term for supporting the conspiracy.

You would think that she was merely aiding Rahman pass on 'exotic infidel cooking recipes' or 'You can do it Irfan, I believe in you' messages to his lost followers, because that mean Bushitler wouldn't let him email anyone without 'unlawfully' intercepting it.

Stewart and her co-defendants were accused of scheming to obtain Rahman's release. She was found guilty of trying to cover up secret conversations between Rahman and his followers and violating federal regulations by publicly announcing in 2000 that the cleric had withdrawn his support for a cease-fire between the Egyptian government and the Islamic Group -- a fundamentalist organization that carried out terrorist attacks on tourists and police officers.

Essentially, Stewart was accused of conspiring to provide personnel to the terrorists by making Rahman and his words available. Rahman, imprisoned in a maximum-security facility in Colorado, is prohibited from contacting his followers.

Rahman -- or Sattar acting in his name -- later issued a fatwa urging his followers to kill Jews everywhere. But Stewart's attorney pointed out that no one was killed or kidnapped as a result of Stewart's actions in this case.

Those of us with a bit of common sense and who were not born this morning would put that down to, their inability to find any Jews nearby and not their tolerant good nature.
