Abbas gives his final answer to Palestinian statehood

On Friday afternoon, Abbas said he was adamant about not recognizing Israel as the Jewish state.

"They talk to us about the Jewish state, but I respond to them with a final answer: We shall not recognize a Jewish state," Abbas said in a meeting with some 200 senior representatives of the Palestinian community in the US, shortly before taking the podium and delivering a speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

What he denies to Israel will inevitably be denied to him

  1. So, let's assume the Paleos got statehood overnight.

How long do you think it would take for the first rocket or suicide bomber to cross the border into Israel?

Of course, such an act would, under all pertinent bits of international law and the sundry "laws" of warfare, constiute a "cassus belli".

The nice folk from the IDF would have EVERY legal justification for rolling to the sea, and down to Sinai, again.

Maybe that's the plan of certain co-reigionists: get the dopey, inbred paleos to start a real war in which theye are effectively exterminated whilst waiting for their "brothers" to come to their aid.

Then, when Israeli forces are fully extended across the region, hook in and go for Jerusalem and all the other trophies. The link between the Iranians and the Syrians is no accident. Both share a bizarre belief in the coming of the twelfth imam. It is interesting that Iran is in the thrall of the shia, regared as heretical by the majority of world moslems, who are mostly sunni, especially the arab ones. Syria is run by the essentially heretical alawite mob, with a fevered assortment of sunnis, druze, shia and yazidis jockying for power.

Given their relative sizes; whilst iran goes about fulfilling the prophecy of the twelfth imam, Syria would simply become a vassal of the mad mullahs as "collateral" to the destruction of Israel.
