Leftist psychopathy on display

They have no human fellow feelings at all. They just pretend they do

Are you old enough to remember the polio-era line: "funny as an iron lung"? After all, what kind of person would find funny the notion of someone fighting to breathe?

Answer: Mika Brzezinski.

Today's Morning Joe played a Letterman clip of a faux-promo for an imaginary TV show called "The Dick Cheney Story." As the title song from the Mary Tyler Moore Show plays merrily in the background, we're treated to images of Cheney wielding a gun, in a wheelchair and undergoing open-heart surgery. The clip closes with video of Cheney fighting to get a breath of air.

Cut to Mika, doubled-over, laughing hysterically, literally to the point of tears.

  1. In what way is the response by Mika Brzezinski to what was intended to be a comedic video an indication that all 'leftists' feel the same?

You do realise that parts of the video were humorous? The classic early 80's introduction, his inauguration as vice-president 11 years after he last served in elected office, the presentation of a gun after he accidentally shot a man in the face.

The videos of the open heart surgery he had to undergo and the final scene replacing the 'roaring lion' with a 'gasping Cheney' pushed it a bit far I thought. The final scene I could understand (although I didn't find it funny) but the clips of the surgery seemed vindictive more than anything.

To use that to proclaim that all 'leftists' (whatever that means) "They have no human fellow feelings at all. They just pretend they do" is simply projecting.

If you continue to define 'leftists' as 'those that don't agree with you 100%' eventually you will wind up with the 'rightists' consisting of only you.

  2. I see it as another manifestation of the mentality behind Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and all that merry gang
