Coldest August in 64 years

News.com.au - Sydney has shivered through its coldest August in 64 years. The harbour city had an average maximum temperature during the month of 17 degrees celsius, slightly below the long-term normal of 18. The average overnight temperature also was down one degree to eight degrees, according to the Weatherzone.com.au figures. With the average minimum and maximum temperatures combined, Sydney's average temperature during the month came in at 12.7 degrees. Weatherzone.com.au meteorologist Matt Pearce said while it was a sliver below the long-term normal of 13.3 degrees it was the coldest August since 1944. "We have seen a prolonged period of very cold air across southeast Australia in general this August," Mr Pearce said.
So the last time it was this cold was 64 years ago, since then how many bastard cars, people and plane trips have been added to Sydney. After all it's supposed to be us bastard humans who are warming the planet and angering gaia so much isn't it. Look on the bright side Sydney-siders, our dear Ruddster has a plan, he has declared war, glorious war, on carbon. If I'm not mistaken it's called operation Carbon Reliance Abatement Program, otherwise known as CRAP! Unless he's changed it to something less stupid that is. In this war on the fiendish bastard carbon, the Ruddster will call upon you to make sacrifices, don't jack up that heater when it gets cold like 1944, don't drive the car to work, take the bus and use each other's body heat or better still, walk. Now if the Ruddster and his band of angry leftists are right about you lot screwing up the climate and when you cut back, it'll get even colder, something to look forward to, no?
