Another taken by the Wolves

News.com.au - Scott Lillicrap, 35, was returning home from a football match when he was robbed, beaten and stomped on at the Sunnybank railway station in Brisbane's south on July 30, 2006. The Brisbane District Court was today told he was then dragged through the station's car park and dumped near a charity bin before witnesses called an ambulance. Mr Lillicrap spent weeks in a coma and suffered multiple fractures to his face. He also suffered a blood clot on his lung which caused it to collapse, and suffered total post-traumatic amnesia for 22 days. The court was told Mr Lillicrap, who was present in court today with his wife Barbara, still struggles to remember details of the six months leading up to the attack, and has no memory of the attack itself.

The teens to did this are now all sorry, hold hands, kumbaya and all that, apparently they have a history of doing this sort of thing. But since they are teenagers, I don't see the Judge sending them away to a real jail for the years they deserve. Probably some juvenile detention facility for a year or something and don't do it again. If only we had the maturity to allow ourselves the right to bear arms, then at least you'd have a damn chance when the wolves are hunting. When I read about stories like this, I often wonder how many of us have to be bashed, robbed and killed before enough of us wake up and demand our fundamental rights. Image thanks to Yahoo Images.
