Cheese eating optimists & New Year Festivities

SMH - Vandals have torched 372 cars as France celebrated the New Year, down on the figure last year after a night the police described as "relatively calm". At 0500 GMT (1600 AEDT) the Interior Ministry said 372 vehicles had been burned - 144 in the Paris region and 228 in the rest of France. That was down from 397 last New Year's Eve. At the height of the 2005 riots as many as 1,400 cars were attacked in overnight violence. In protests over President Nicolas Sarkozy election last May, demonstrators set fire to 730 vehicles.

Yay, France is making a comeback, only 372 vehicles were burnt this time, it's either the "vandals" are maturing, which is possible due to the falling birthrates [torching is easier said than done with a walking aid you know], or they're running out of cars to burn. Folks from another planet might be amazed that these earthlings seem to be resigned to the fact that a certain number of cars will just have to be sacrificed to the wolves, as long as it's not one of their own. Being a racist, violent, gun-loving nutjob, I wonder who exactly the majority of these "vandals" are, could they be those Islamic savages who are usually rioting and burning things in France? Alright I'll be fair, I'm sure they didn't burn all 372, maybe 5 were burnt by opportunistic ratbag whiteys, well I hope they did at least a bit of the burning, otherwise I'd better remember to leave my bible at home the next time I feel like cheese and Renaults.
