A JURY has found security guard Karen Brown not guilty of murdering the man who attacked and robbed her outside a Sydney hotel.
Ms Brown, 42, was also found not guilty of manslaughter. Ms Brown had been accused of shooting dead William Aquilina after he beat her with a knuckle duster and robbed her outside the Moorebank Hotel in July 2004.
Mr Aquilina, 26, was shot dead in a stolen car outside the Moorebank Hotel on the morning of July 26, 2004. Seconds earlier, he had beaten Ms Brown with a knuckle-duster and dragged her along the ground, before stealing a backpack containing about $43,000 in takings from the hotel and a nearby restaurant.
One less robber to worry about.
