Those courts again

Just don't expect the high priced lawyers and activists to turn up in Israel or Iraq, to argue for the rights of the kidnapped and butchered soldiers and civilians. If you can make your way with all your body parts and severed heads to the supreme court, they'll try and fit you into their busy schedule, so many terrorists to appease, so many rights to uphold.
All US military detainees, including those at Guantanamo Bay, are to be treated in line with the minimum standards of the Geneva Conventions. The White House announced the shift in policy almost two weeks after the US Supreme Court ruled that the conventions applied to detainees.
I think Charles Krauthammer sums it up best.
All rise: The Supreme Court has decreed a return to normality.

The court has decreed: There is no war -- or we will pretend so -- and henceforth it shall be conducted by the court. God save the United States. (This honorable court can fend for itself.)
Congress is the last hope.
