Feeding the crocodile

There I was thinking that virulent anti Americanism and opposition to the Iraq war would earn you safe passage from the Islamists. It seems day by day the left wing theories are being shot to pieces. First JR brought us the story of socialists in France, getting their underwear into knots by calling for harsh punishments for criminal scum, whatever happened to non-mean law enforcement, soft power and diplomacy.

Canadians are now reaping the benefits of Anti Americanism and their support of Palestinians, their generosity and aid are returned by plots to blow up the headquarters of Canada's Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) in Toronto and God knows what else. Would you like to appease some more, perhaps some more aid to earn the priviledge of the suicide bomber requesting all anti Americans to one side before he blows the rest of the victims to smithereens. It seems the recently elected conservative government in Canada could not have been voted in any sooner, well you can start by taking out the trash, starting below, before they bring the lot of you down.
Luc Portelance, the CSIS assistant director of operations told his countrymen, "It is important to know that this operation in no way reflects negatively on any specific community, or ethno-cultural group in Canada."
The Buddhists and Hindus will be breathing a sigh of relief after that.

Now back to those socialists (now realists) in France, it seems these parasites are beginning to realise, you will need to acquire a spine, to stand up to terror, whether they do or don't, it doesn't really matter. After years and years of diligent investing in left wing ideology, those investments are now approaching maturity, and unlike the dotcom 'splat', these shares are packing one helluva return.
In a series of AP interviews, French intelligence officials described changes in how terror cells finance and plan attacks, and how they recruit and train.

"The spider web (of terror) put in place since the 1990s hasn't stopped growing," said Louis Caprioli, former assistant director of the DST, the country's main counterintelligence agency. "The level of recruitment is rising, with more and more engineers or technicians, or chemists or physicists," he said, describing them as "a model of the terrorist of the future."

A leading anti-terrorism prosecutor described the attackers of 1995 as down-and-out youth from impoverished French suburbs, the squalid housing complexes ringing urban centers that were the scene of rioting last fall.

Today's Islamic terrorists, however, are more of the "university profile," said the prosecutor, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the cases he treats.
So much for the poor, oppressed and down trodden victims. So there you have it, call it the writing on the wall, the smell of the coffee or even what blind Freddy can see, its no longer about appeasing or accommodating, that's all over now, the leftists have gotten the lot of you into a corner.
Defense lawyers and human rights groups say France's new anti-terrorism measures go too far in eroding civil liberties.

"The fight against terrorism is not an easy thing," said Patrick Baudouin, head of the Paris-based International Human Rights Federation. "One must not cede to the pressure of police who want a maximum free hand. The end doesn't always justify the means."
Yep too concerned about the means, its too difficult, don't have the stomach, can't be justified, well the end has finally arrived, no where to run but the wall, time to turn around and curl the fingers, hope you lot ain't too concerned about the means.
