As Predicted. . .

It’s going to be all talk and no action:

UK rules out Iran military action

BRITISH Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has ruled out imminent military action against Iran, but has left the door wide open to referring Tehran to the United Nations over its nuclear program.

Speaking in parliament in London, Mr Straw expressed "profound concern" at Iran's resumption of nuclear research. "Military action is not on our agenda, and I don't believe it's on anyone else's agenda," he said, pre-empting speculation that Israel or the United States might attempt a military strike.

But he confirmed that referring Iran to the UN Security Council - a potential prelude to sanctions - would be discussed when he sees his French and German counterparts in the coming days.
Lots of discussion. Discussion, discussion, discussion. And more discussion. Meanwhile, the Iranians are starting up their reactors, the UN is in regret, and the centrifuges, thousands of them, are ready to roll.

"Referral to the Security Council has always been on the agenda," he said, recalling that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) set the stage for just such action at its September governors' meeting.
Gee wow – that’s been pretty effective. More discussion required there, though, it seems.

"The issue of whether we formally propose a referral to the Security Council will be a key subject for discussion when I meet my EU colleagues, as I hope I shall do, in the coming days," he said.
Please stop wasting our time, Jack. Iran is good to go. No matter their stated intentions (open declarations regarding the obliteration of Israel aside), either Iran is going to be allowed the capacity to create Atomic bombs or it is not. It’s as simple as that.

Judging from the usual European blather, though, there’s little doubt left - as far as the Europeans are concerned: one Iranian A-bomb, coming right up. . .
