Hunter and the Hunted

Miles and miles above in the sky, the hunter is circling, searching, listening and waiting, controlled from afar, you don't even know its there. You could be taking a wizz, or kicking stones waiting for a courier, sleeping or praying for the end of the infidel, plotting or planning, little do you know, next thing, out of nowhere, comes a missile, screaming from the sky like an angry hawk and KAA-BOOOMM. All over, next stop hopefully its paradise and the 70, or was it a 100, virgins.

AL-QA'IDA'S operational commander Abu Hamza Rabia has been killed in a missile strike on a so-called "safe house" in a tribal region of Pakistan. According to witnesses, Rabia died with four militants after missiles fired by an unmanned Predator aircraft exploded at the terrorist hideout in a village in north Waziristan in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Terrorism expert Rohan Gunaratna said Rabia's death could mean the security forces were closing in on bin Laden. "The fact that Abu Hamza Rabia has been killed clearly demonstrates that bin Laden is very likely not far away. If the operational momentum can be sustained, I believe other senior leaders of al-Qa'ida will be killed or captured."

Dr Gunaratna said the loss of Rabia would weaken al-Qa'ida's ability to co-ordinate attacks from the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Here's to hoping Osama and his fellow bretheren get real intimate real soon with the next infidel predator.
